Prince George's County to reopen for animal adoptions

An animal shelter in Prince George's County, Maryland had to close

Because a lot of animals were getting sick from a germ called Streptococcus zooepidemicus.

But now, the shelter is going to reopen so people can come and adopt animals.

David Fisher, Associate Director of the Animal Services Division, said,

Without the help of our veterinarians and other animal groups nearby and across the country Could not perform well in its response and reopening.

Experts and our employees worked hard together to make this possible.

“And has enabled us to reopen our doors to the public.”
